much ado about nothing
Benjamin Franklin once said, do not leave that till tomorrow which you can do today. And that was his recipe for his many successes. There is a lot of wisdom and truth in that I'm sure, but I guess not everything is as 'straightforward' as the discovery of electricity.
I have witnessed many things that have taken a different turning than expected as a result of too much being done in that moment in the efforts to salvage a situation. Many bad situations spiral out of control as a result of rashness and in the absence of patience. I have learned that some things are best left till tomorrow. Some things are best left to fizzle. Not every situation needs 'doing', and not every situation needs saving. Sometimes the only way to deal with a situation is to do nothing. Or say nothing.
I'm ignoring Mr. Franklin's advice for the moment. As I'm not particularly looking to discover electricity or the like. I'm trying to salvage a different kind of electricity. I don't need a recipe for success for that. I need a miracle.
